Elementalist’s “Ring of Fire” got nerfed.

If you are a player who just runs back and forth through it with wanton abandon, you will get a lot less rekt now, which is nice.

You should still start including cleanse in your builds though, it helps a lot.

Just let ppl set condition cleanse priority in pvp spec menu while being outside match (Exactly like traits and gear)…easy and simple

The hilarious thing about all the complaints about ele sustain is that that hasn’t even changed in the last year and a half. Even before specialization patch, the ar/water/x ele had strong sustain, except hardly anyone called it the godmode broken build that it’s being called now.

What changed after the specialization change? the Ar/water/X cele cantrip eles got more damage. And they are shaving in that direction.

ele sustain is broken since way more than one year ago (Pretty much when celestial amulet got buffed from totally useless to meta)….people didn’t complain that much cause at that time celestial shoutbow and celestial engis could pretty much fight dd eles with fair chances, people started complaining after shoutbow and cele engi got nerfed while eles got buffed (Anet balance at its best) with trait patch making them godmode 1v1 (Cause the only 2 specs that were able to fight them 1v1 on point got nerfed) and able to 1v2 while having the second best mobility in game, tf support, broken downstate when paired with sa thief or mesmer portal and on and on and on…

My question is, since Anet is very heavy handed in nerfing builds that are bad for the game, why is Mesmer allowed to constantly stealth and just dodge all the while pumping out insane amounts of conditions that, even if you fully go for condition removal, are simply impossible to cleanse.

As a player who participated in tournaments in GW2 I would like to go back to getting finisher rewards rather than mini llama. After the first ToL people thought my llama finisher was the bomb. Stronghold is not a moba (Let alone being even close to esports) it’s just a way to let pve guys do something if they can’t handle rotations and teamfights in conquest…they can still go for supply, kill minions, fight gates with guards and random ai crap like they’re used to do in zerg vs zerg and so on…nothing more nothing less, it’s as far as possible from being anyway near to a skillbased game mode

There’s a reason why noone in pvp gives a kitten to stronghold…it’s pretty much just a ball pool for pve heroes and the more people playing stronghold the less going svanir at start or 3v1ing eles on close

So, at the end of the day, pushing randoms into stronghold instead of conquest (Expec ranked) sounds like a nice deal to me…everyone wins but, for the love of god, don’t try to call it competitive

When was the last time there was a build for any class that was considered viable but not op? Pretty much every build that becomes meta gets called face roll op unless it is just used purely for it’s utility (theif stealth/mobility, Mesmer portal, resbot guardian).

If u solely care about dealing with ele’s like 1v1, and not like in tpvp, then take armored attack, and berserker amulet.

Just auto auto auto auto super hard with axe, much preassure. Then when u have quite high adrenaline, pop frenzy (given u can burst) couple more autos till they dodge, then shield bash, evis, swap, whirlwind. All before quickness is over. And they’re screwed

Zerk warriors work well against thief/mes comps and is terrible against sustained comps like duable/tripple ele and especally in a 1v1.

Zerker is best to deal with them. If u can’t out dps their sustain it’s worthless, and they sure can out dps your heal sig. They don’t, unlike warr, have factors that make defensive stats redundant, such as invuln, in this case, the stances. Sure, mist form, but they don’t dps mid mist form, thus also making dps stats redundant.

You will lose every node and every 1v1 against decent elementalists on a certain skillvl which is one of the reasons why Rom swapped to shoutbow – that he won’t lose in a 1v1, but can stalemate them in a 1v1. Zerk warrior is gimmick and I would never recommend anybody to play this in serious tournements etc unless eles get nerfed.
And if you consider mes/thief comps, potato axe warrior is indeed a wasted slot in comparison and I’ll never understand why you ever would bring a zerk warrior with roaming builds unless you can not play anything else besides that.

I had a good laugh as I saw “Meta² elemetalist d/d” then the usual “Meta” builds. Ele are so powerful right now that they had to make a Meta squared just for them.

Now, if my calculations are correct, you get around 150x(~1700 pts/win) = 255,000 rank points for one Champ title from wins only This isn’t even counting the losses you might incur. Assuming 50% win/loss, you get an additional 150x(~700 pts/loss) = 105,000 rank points from losses

Thats a total of 255,000+105,000 = 360,000 rank points per champ title.

Was going through the mesmer forum – there’s a lively debate on PU (of course). It’s often said that people rage whenever they lose, but this isn’t always true.

So here are my least raged on professions – when if I lose, I simply go “Ok yeah, they outplayed me” or “They direct countered my build”.

1. Necros (hands down least raged on I think). Possible exceptions: Lich, MM
2. Guardian (pretty honest play). Possible exception: Insta burn bombs these days

Well can we at least add this to the things that need looked at as well as vamp rune and d/d ele. Please make this 1 of the top things you fix since its simply making 600 radius to 900 and a 20% Cool down reduction.

Obvious solution would be going ele ofc…there’s no point playing any war spec in pvp atm anyway, there is no conquest role where warrior is gonna be first choice, just reroll or wait for some balance…no reason to tryhard anymore

I always insult them back 2 times harder because I am not wise at all, even when it’s not addressed to me, even if I am perfectly aware “they started it first” is childish.
I also report/block. I am sure they report me back, and I never got banned for my overreactions, so I am also sure the report system is just useless.
Anyone who can’t take his part of a defeat and prefer to insult his team is just the first guilty of the failure he want to reject : he played against his own team and out of it the whole time and finally prove it at the end.
